Although not the most beautiful hotel in the world, the Estella is centrally located, good value for money and staffed by a young and eager-to-please crowd.
Opposite the northernmost monument of the 16th century Ottoman Empire, this hotel has recently had a complete refurbishment bringing it up to the standards expected of a modern hotel.
Two hotels in one, the Korona is a particularly good choice for visitors interested in Eger's wine culture: it has its own cellar which houses Hungary's National Wine Museum.
The restaurant in this place was awarded a place in the list of the top 12 eateries in Hungary, the hotel is quite good too.
A touch characterless but with an unbeatable location, the Szent Janos is a good option for those without their own transport.
One weird looking hotel and a bit of a walk to the town centre but it does have its own wellness facilities, a lovely garden and........ a chapel?
One of the biggest hotels in the region, it may lack that personal touch but more than makes up for it in the sheer variety of services and facilities on offer.
Looking a bit shabby these days, but rooms here include free entrance to the Eger open air baths which is a serious bonus especially if you have kids.
