On walking into Imola Udvarhaz you could forgiven for thinking that you had been transported into a chic neighbourhood in a hip, happening, cool kind of city: in terms of design this place is a cut above the rest in Eger.
Throw in a great restaurant, the Macok, and Imola Udvarhaz really is a fantastic hotel in which to stay and experience Eger.
Imola Udvarhaz is located at the foot of the castle
Imola Udvarhaz is adjacent to Eger Castle's entrance, and this is not the only thing worth seeing in the vicinity.

There are 15 rooms/apartments in Imola: 2 business rooms (single), 6 standard rooms (doubles), four family apartments with kitchen (sleeping a family of 4) and three family apartments with 2 bedrooms (sleeping a maximum of 4 adults or a family of 5)
The bathrooms are a cut above what you'd normally get in Eger
All rooms come with mini-bars, LCD televisions, air-conditioning, wifi, built-in wardrobe, telephone and private bathroom.
The apartments are equipped as the rooms but also have kitchens and living rooms.

As well as the above average interior design, the great location and the reasonable room prices, Imola Udvar Ház also has a noted restaurant.
A separate entity (but under the same management as the Imola) it is called the Macok Bistro and Wine Bar and has gained something of a following among Eger's young crowd.
The Macok attracts a younger clientele
What sets it apart from other eateries in the area is its emphasis on international cuisine with a Hungarian twist served with good quality wines. Add the unconventional (at least in Eger) design and it really is a place you should take the time to visit during your stay.
The buffet breakfast included in the room/apartment price is served in the Macok and it is open for light lunches and dinner throughout the week.
