The Hotel Flora has seen better days and is in need of renovation inside and out. However, it does have a lot going for it, but without prompt investment it's going to lose custom.
Flora is part of the Hunguest chain which has hotels throughout Hungary and caters primarily for visitors from Central and Eastern European countries wishing to spend a week's holiday in Eger; they come for the baths and the wine.

The 190 rooms make the Hotel Flora the largest hotel in Eger. Each room has what you would normally expect in a 3 star establishment: TV, minibar and shower.
Compared to other hotels in the area, the rooms are simple

The biggest plus at the Hotel Flora is that included in the room price is free entrance to Eger's bathing complex known as the 'Eger Strand'.
This covers an area of 3 hectares and includes countless pools (children's, medicinal, 50 metre pool etc.), there are water slides, water aerobics and the list goes on.
The hotel has its own dedicated entrance to the complex and you can go in and out as you please.
The children's pool at the Eger Strand
As is the norm in Eger hotels, the hotel has its own spa centre with jacuzzi, indoor pool, sauna and solarium.
There is also the opportunity to make an appointment with a doctor to discuss any musculoskeletal disorders you may have and he/she will advise on treatments to alleviate the condition.
Hotel Flora's spa area
The Hotel Flora has its own restaurant and bar and, if you wish, you can choose to have breakfast in bed.
Both breakfast and supper are of the 'help-yourself-eat-as much-as-you-possibly-can' variety.

my reading of the reviews, most guests are happy with the thermal
baths and the hotel's location. It is, however, the outdated decor, uncomfortable rooms and lack of hairdryers that
lets the place down.
