Depresso Coffee House and Bar opened last year to much fanfare, not least because one of the owners is the nationally renowned, celebrity psychiatrist Dr. Csernus Imre.
Dr. Csernus has written countless books, hosts TV shows and looks quite cool with his floppy, Hugh Grantesque curls. He now seems to be turning his hand to the hospitality game and not doing too bad a job.
There is a great selection of coffees here, as well as alcoholic drinks, sandwiches and soft drinks. They also serve breakfast and, unusually for Hungary provide a good customer experience.
Depresso has something of a Jekyll and Hyde character, having a pleasant coffee house vibe during the day while with the arrival of darkness, and the replacement of coffee with alcohol, things get a bit more ubeat and urgent.
They also serve a variety of wines and organise wine tastings, no surprise really as Dr. Csernus also has a vineyard in the surrounding hills.
If you're really lucky you might even bump into the doctor himself, who, I am told, speaks English.
